The Gem Shop has a long history of appreciating fine time pieces. Our story began in 1963 San Francisco , when an expert Rolex Certified watchmaker fell in love with a petite, brown-eyed jewellery designer and precious gemstone connoisseur. They married, opened their first store together, Geary Jewelers, then years later moved with their children to Canada where they continued to showcase their appreciation for important Swiss brands and precious gemstones at their stores in London, Ontario – Alexander’s Jewellery,  Alexander and Sons Jewellery, and Jewels & Time – and,  Alexander’s Quality Jewelry in Wiarton, Ontario. In 2020 they retired online and opened TheGemShop.ca, where their love for gemstones and watches continues to this day.
